After the most challenging of running years, Caerleon RC has got back to business on club nights and also with our LSR runs.
During lockdown we took part in 8 virtual challenges and our membership swelled on the back of these.
Once we were allowed to run together again, we started up our Next Steps group, to help runners step up from 5K and 10K. We have now welcomed the second cohort of Next Steppers into Caerleon RC.
Meanwhile, back in the main body of the club, we have 4 keen groups heading out for a 10K every Tuesday, and the number of participants for our interval sessions on a Thursday has exploded to five times previous numbers.
Finally, our members are keen to develop and build their running over the winter months and to aim for a half marathon target in the spring of 2021. We now have two keen groups of runners going out for LSRs on the weekend.
Its been the most difficult running year in recent memory, but Caerleon RC has come back bigger, stronger and fitter!
