We are a sociable club and aim to use our get-togethers to allow everyone to develop their running potential in a stimulating but friendly environment.

Our membership spans a very broad set of abilities, ages, physiques and running ambitions. There is a roughly equal mix of men and women. Not all of our members race but to give you an idea, we have members who run a 10k in about 34 minutes and others who would take more than double that time. Our youngest member is 18 and our oldest is over 65. The vast majority are comfortably in the middle of this range.

On a Tuesday night we have two groups that start at slightly different times.

These are: -

This is our early group who take in the same route as the rest of our runners. There might be a number of reasons why you would choose to run in this group. Perhaps you are saving yourself for a big race, returning from or dealing with injury, returning to club after an absence, just starting out, or that is simply your pace

Most of our runners run with this group. During this run you will always have someone to run with and also have targets to push yourself to improve!

Tail Runner

We also have a tail runner every Tuesday for runner safety. Many of our more experienced runners volunteer every now and then to be the tail runner for the night. This means they stay at the back and make sure everyone get around the route safely.

Our Thursday sessions start at 7pm for all. This is a Speed, Hill, Interval or Relay session.

We always try to have at least 3 different pace groups out on the Thursday sessions subject to coach and leader availability.

The sessions are suitable for all standards of runner. Sessions may change due to weather conditions or forthcoming races.
