About the Club

We are a sociable club and aim to use our get-togethers to allow everyone to develop their running potential in a stimulating but friendly environment.

Our membership spans a very broad set of abilities, ages, physiques and running ambitions. There is a roughly an equal mix of men and women. Not all of our members race but to give you an idea, we have members who run a 10k in about 36 minutes and others who would take more than double that time. Our youngest member is 19 and our oldest is 62. The vast majority are comfortably in the middle of this range.

The Club was formed July 2003 and has settled at close to 30 members. We are keen to keep growing our membership - so you are very welcome to come and give us a try, and hopefully go on to join.

Our club nights are most Tuesdays and Thursdays and we meet outside the main entrance to the Sports Centre within Caerleon College (University of Wales Newport) at 7:00pm.

All adult runners welcome, so if you want to take a chance then just turn up but if you want to be sure we are not away on a race or a social event then please contact one of the club's officers: Contact the Club.

As well as the scheduled run we also organise runs for BEGINNERS and IMPROVER GROUPS by shortening the programmed run but still starting and finishing at the College so that all members and guests can be safely accounted for.
